Welcome to the Rhode Island Workers' Compensation Information Center
This Information Center was developed to educate injured workers
about the workers’ compensation system in Rhode Island. It was also
designed as a resource to assist union representatives in advising their
membership following a work related injury.
Information is provided on this site as to the legal rights and
obligations of injured workers as well as those of their employers and
insurance companies. Injured workers who are informed and knowledgeable
about the law and their rights will receive the greatest benefit from
the workers’ compensation system. I hope the information provided here
is helpful in protecting your rights and easing the stress following a
